Reading: II Corinthians 20:20-24
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. – Psalm 37:25
Supernatural help is readily available to a man who knows the secret of praise. David was a man who was never stranded and God gave him victory after victory because he lived a life of praise. David knew that God would to you what you keep calling Him. He therefore took it to heart to praise God every time and at those times he would say “The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God in Him I will trust my Buckler, and the Horn of my Salvation, and my High Tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies. “(Psalm 18:2-3). Praise became the life style of David. If you read further, David gave a chronicle of his victories and deliveries in Psalm 18. Supernatural help was never far away from the man of praise.
King Jehoshaphat also knew how to trust God in the hour of need. When the enemies came to attack Judah in the form of a multi-national army, Jehoshaphat turned to God and recalled the Lord’s testimonies for Israel. He then left the battle to God by saying that they did to know what to do but their eyes were on the Lord (v. 12). It turned out that God would not have Judah go to fight the enemies with mortars or other kinds of arsenal. Rather, God told the King to arrange the national choir who would step out into the battle arena with instruments of praise to sing unto the God. That was all that Judah did and God brought confusion to the enemy and the intruding soldiers began to kill each other. The enemy soldiers died in their multitudes and Judah was victorious. Praise brought the miracle.
There are several possibilities when you are in a battle. You may fight and win, or you may fight and lose or you may not fight but win all the same. Praise is the secret of the last scenario. Those who know how to employ the weapon of praise have programmed themselves to unending victories in the battles that they face. It is only with God that singers can prevail over soldiers. That is supernatural help. I see God send help to you in your hour of challenge in Jesus Name. Rejoice In the Lord.
